Two children injured in Crosslake boat mishap
CROSSLAKE — Two children were injured Thursday when the tube they were riding on struck a stationary boat moored to a floating dock.
The crash was reported at 12:53 p.m. on the 12000 block of Sequoia Drive. The children were on a tube being towed by a Jet Ski.
Injured were Jacob Becher, 9, and Kayla Sielen, 13, both from Hastings. Becher had an injury to the left side of his head. Sielen suffered an injury to her right elbow and shoulder.
The children were driven to the Cuyuna Range Medical Center in Crosby for treatment.
Golf employee struck in head by golf ball
BREEZY POINT — A golf course employee at Deacon’s Lodge Golf Course in Breezy Point was struck in the head by a golf ball Thursday.
The incident was reported at 1:38 p.m.
The victim was transported from the scene by North Ambulance. For privacy issues, staff at Grand View Lodge in Nisswa, said they could not discuss the issue regarding their employee and had no comment as to the employee, his name, or the extent of his injuries.
