PhoneCamPics exhibition deadline coming
The Crossing Arts Alliance offers an opportunity for artists to exhibit up to three cellphone photos each at the Q Gallery from Aug. 5-26.
Kelly Humphrey, the Crossing Arts Alliance Picturing Photographer of the Year and Brainerd Dispatch photographer, will choose the “Best of Show.”
Subject matter must be appropriate for a general audience. Photographs must be marked on the back with the artist’s contact information (name, address, city, state, zip and cellphone number). Velcro will be attached to the back of the photo to fasten to the wall or panel. Artists do not need to be Crossing Arts Alliance members. Photographs must be printed, not sent digitally. Special effects may be applied.
Photos need not be matted or framed, no larger than 24 inches by 36 inches and may be delivered or mailed to TCAA, 1001 Kingwood St. No. 114, Brainerd, MN 56401, by noon Tuesday. The exhibition will be unstaffed, Aug. 5-26, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 13. Artists are responsible for insuring their own work. There is no submission fee. Artists must pick up their photos Aug. 30-31, or they will become property of The Crossing Arts Alliance.
