‘Walk-N-Roll’ for Mounted Eagles planned Saturday
PEQUOT LAKES — Mounted Eagles, a therapeutic horsemanship and equine-assisted activities program for individuals who face physical, mental, social and/or emotional challenges, will host its annual Walk-N-Roll So They Can Ride fundraising event on Saturday. The event begins with a six-mile walk/rollerblade/bike on the Paul Bunyan Trail from the Pequot Lakes gazebo to the Nisswa Community Center.
Registration is at 2 p.m. Saturday in Pequot Lakes.
Each participant, 9 and older, should collect a minimum of $25 in pledges in order to participate in the walk. Participants under 9 are welcome to join the walk without collecting pledges. An awards ceremony will be held at the Nisswa Community Center. In conjunction with the walk there will be an all you can eat spaghetti dinner, silent auction and live entertainment at the Nisswa Community Center. Cost is $8 for those 13 years and older, $5 for children 6-12 years, and free for children 5 years and younger.
Dinner will be served from 3-7:30 p.m. You do not have to participate in the actual walk in order to attend the spaghetti dinner event.
