Fatal motorcycle accident


An accident involving a car and a motorcycle Friday night resulted in injuries and one known fatality. The accident occured just after 8 p.m. on MN-371 north at Green Gables Road near North Long Lake in Brainerd.


According to the State Highway Patrol, the driver of the motorcycle was pulled over in the northbound shoulder of MN-371, and was hit by a northbound vehicle while attempting to cross the highway median. 

The identity of the fatality victim has not yet been released. The driver of the vehicle involved reported no injuries. Condition of the additional parties involved is unknown.

A second separate accident was reported just south on 371 near Ivens on the Bay. Injuries were reported.

Northbound traffic on 371 has been diverted away from the accident.
