Homecoming Schedule

• Wednesday: BAY Rally 50 at 6:45 p.m. at Tornstrom Auditorium.

• Thursday: Community art exhibit at Q Gallery continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

• Friday: Pep rally at Brainerd High School, 7 p.m.; BHS Distinguished Hall of Fame Banquet, 5 p.m.; Seth Doud On Stage, alumni homecoming concert sponsored by the Crossing Arts Alliance at 7 p.m. at Franklin Arts Center with a reception to follow in Q Gallery. Decade gatherings will be held at bars and restaurants, including 1940s, VFW; 1950s, American Legion; 1960s, Elks; 1970s, Shep’s; 1980s, The Last Turn; 1990s, T.J.’s Log Cabin; and 2000s, Poncho and Lefty’s for those over 21 and at The Shop for those under 21. Oktoberfest will begin at 5 p.m. at the Northland Arboretum. 

• Saturday, Oct. 8: The new Community Homecoming Fun Run, sponsored by the Nordic Ski Team, 8:30 a.m. The run will following the homecoming parade route around BHS. The homecoming parade is at 10:30 a.m., following by pre-game activities on Adamson Field and BYAA football games. 

The homecoming football game against St. Cloud Apollo will kick off at 2 p.m. A BHS student homecoming dance will take place at 7 p.m. for current students only. Brainerd Sports Boosters will host a social at Prairie Bay at 6 p.m. and the Class of 1991 will hold its class reunion at 7 p.m. Timbermist. 

• Sunday, Oct. 9: Heartland Symphony Concert, featuring school children’s artwork, will begin at 2 p.m. at Tornstrom Auditorium. 

New this year is a golfing event at Madden’s. Visit the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation website,, and download the coupon to get 18 holes of golf plus golf cart on either the east or west course to be used Oct. 7-9 for $39. Of the cost, $10 will be donated to the Brainerd Sports Boosters.
