Traffic stop leads to arrests for drug possession in Baxter

BAXTER — A traffic stop about 4 p.m. Friday on Dellwood Drive in Baxter led to the arrest of two men for possession of methamphetamine, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Meyer said.

The traffic stop was conducted by an agent with the Lakes Area Drug Investigation Division and the Baxter Police Department. Meyer said the LADID had information that the suspects, Timothy Brown, 40, and Tyler Hardy, 26, were involved in drug trafficking in the area.

“Our agent happened to be at the right place at the right time,” in locating the suspects, Meyer said. “It was good police work.”

Brown was arrested for felony second-degree possession of a controlled substance. Hardy was arrested for felony fifth-degree possession of a controlled substance.
