Cushing woman in serious condition after crash

LITTLE FALLS — A 44-year-old Cushing woman, who was injured in a one-vehicle rollover at 8:56 p.m. Sunday on Highway 10, five miles north of Little Falls, was in serious condition Monday at St. Cloud Hospital.

The State Patrol reported that the driver, Kathleen Bedford, lost control of her vehicle when it ran off the road to the left, entered the ditch and rolled, striking several trees and coming to rest on its roof.

The State Patrol reported that alcohol was detected in Bedford’s system and she was not wearing a seatbelt.

The Randall Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance, North Air Care and Morrison County Sheriff’s Department assisted at the scene.

Two injured in Sunday collision

ONAMIA — Two drivers were injured after the vehicles they were in crashed broadside at 6:25 p.m. Sunday on Highway 169 and 360th Street in Mille Lacs County, reported the State Patrol.

Nicholas Backes, 44, Little Falls, was taken to St. Cloud Hospital, where he was in serious condition Monday.

Jillian Decent, 26, Crosby was taken to Mille Lacs Health Systems in Onamia where she was treated and then released. Decent had three passengers, Jerry Decent, 25, Carter Decent, 6, and Maycee Decent, an infant, all of Crosby, who were not injured.

It was reported that Decent was traveling south on Highway 169, when the vehicle driven by Backes was pulled over on the right shoulder of the highway and then turned left in front of Decent’s vehicle.

Baxter man injured in vehicle accident

A 36-year-old Baxter man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:09 p.m. Friday on South Fifth Street and Laurel Street in front of the Brainerd Post Office, reported the Brainerd Police Department.

Anthony DeRosier, a passenger in a vehicle driven by Tanya DeRosier, 36, Baxter, was injured, but refused to be transported to the hospital via ambulance. It was reported that he drove himself to the hospital. Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd had no information available on DeRosier.

The other driver, Jeffrey Ramler, 42, Sartell, was not injured.
