Firefighters respond

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls Sunday and Monday.

Monday’s calls started out at 5:32 a.m. at 511 D St., to what turned out to be a false alarm; at 11:35 a.m., there was another false alarm at Wausau Paper; and at 2:15 p.m., firefighters were called out to 618 Circle Pines Dr., to burnt bacon.

On Sunday, firefighters were called at 3:10 a.m. to 603 Circle Pines Dr., to what turned out to be a false alarm; and at 7:47 p.m. at 702 South Ninth Street to a grease fire.
