Astronomy course offered Dec. 3

A regional four-hour astronomy “sky coach” certification training is planned in Brainerd from 4-8 p.m. Saturday. Astronomy enthusiasts from 11th-grade through adult are invited to the training, which is free and includes a light dinner. Training topics include basic astronomy, use and maintenance of astronomy equipment, resources, approaches to STEM education and working with young people in astronomy. Successful completion of this training allows sky coaches to use the regional 4-H “Aim for the Sky” astronomy equipment (powerful telescopes, astronomy binoculars, and Sky Scouts) with young people in the region.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
