High Kick

The class was learning basic karate skills as part of the Brainerd school district’s campaign against bullying.

Punch Yell

Breanna Theisen, kindergartner at Lowell School, yelled and punched Tuesday in Sam Marohn and Mrs. Diane Meyer’s physical education class Tuesday.

The students were learning basic martial arts skills as part of the Brainerd school district’s campaign against bullying.

The classes are also used for confidence building among the students.

Punch a pad

Lowell Elementary School kindergartner Chloe Nelson prepared to punch a pad held by martial arts instructor Rob Nelson Tuesday in Sam Marohn and Mrs. Diane Meyer’s physical education class.

The students were taking lessons in Martial Arts at the school as part of the Brainerd school district’s campaign against bullying.
