CLC invites Earth Day vendors for April 25 fair

Central Lakes College invites vendors and exhibiting environmental guests to reserve table space for the April 25 Earth Day Fair on the Brainerd campus.

Earth Week 2012 is April 22-28.

The sponsoring Environmental Studies class and collaborating Green Team and Green Club at CLC will assist those who want space for displays, demonstrations, brochures, posters, products, and disseminations of material regarding pollution, erosion, green awareness, and environmental concerns.

The organizers are looking at a schedule of speakers who could discuss topics that might include rain gardens, bee keeping, composting, shoreland buffers, backyard birding, and rain barrels, among topics of interest for guests of all ages. Nature activities for children are also in a discussion stage.

The fair will start about 9:30-10 a.m. and conclude about 3:30 p.m., said Gary Carson, environmental studies and natural resources instructor at CLC.
