Thanks to all

A big thanks

I want to take the time to thank you all for making 2011, especially our Christmas holiday season, at the Women’s Center very special for so many families. In my first year as the new executive director, I have found the generosity of the community to be astounding on so many levels and greatly supportive of the important work we do. My hope is that you all understand how much this means to me, to our Board of Directors, and to the staff and volunteers who work so hard to carry out our mission every day. Above everything, it means so much to the women and children we serve who have been abused, displaced, and are struggling in their own journeys. There will never be enough words to thank all of you for what you have done in the past year. You’ve all had a hand in making my first year a memorable one and strengthening my belief that people in the lakes area really do care about the people in their community — that they are willing to demonstrate their support in so many ways. Again, a million thanks from the bottom of my heart and I urge you all to continue your support to community organizations in the lakes area.

Tonya M. Heldt, Executive Director

Mid-Minnesota Women’s Center, Inc.

Thanks to all

As a member of the senior center program committee, I’d like to thank all who attended the music concert at the Frankin Arts Center. A special thanks to DeAnn Barry, senior center director, for her hard work to make things happen. It’s because of her, we can all come up with ideas and she will do the rest of the leadership. Thanks to Paula for her help when the volunteers needed it. Thanks to Dave for baking cookies and Journey North for accommodating the set up of the equipment in the auditorium.

Last but not least a big thank you to Jack and the boy and Diane and friends for all the volunteers needed to make this event happen.

Our senior center is fortunate to have such great support from out community and surrounding areas.
