Nisswa woman found in hot tub at Plymouth home dies

PLYMOUTH — A 53-year-old Nisswa woman died Saturday after she was found unresponsive in an outdoor hot tub at a home in Plymouth, the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Department reported.

The victim was identified as Kari Dayton late Sunday afternoon by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office.

Dayton was visiting relatives at the home in Plymouth where there incident took place, the sheriff’s department reported.

Officers from Plymouth and Hennepin County responded to the residence, located on the 17000 block of 24th Avenue North, at 7:30 p.m. Dayton was later pronounced dead.

The medical examiner’s office on Sunday reported the drowning was ruled an accident.
