Cancellations abound due to storm predictions

Many Brainerd area events are canceled as a result of this week’s predicted snow storm.

Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Brainerd has cancelled all events for tonight.

Wednesday Lenten services and choir practice at Bethany Lutheran Church in Cushing are canceled tonight.

The Central Lakes College blood drive scheduled for today at CLC has been cancelled.

Mom's Morning Out on Wednesday, February 29 from 10-11:30 am at Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center has been cancelled.

The magician scheduled at the Jessie F. Hallett Memorial Library in Crosby has been rescheduled until March 14. There will be no pre-school Story Hour today.

Midwest Motion in Brainerd is closed all day Wednesday.

Walkabout Wednesday Hike at Itasca State Park for Wednesday, Feb. 29 cancelled due to weather.

Pequot Lakes Middle Level speech meet for Tuesday, February 28, was postponed to Tuesday, March 27.

Lake Country Parish’s “40 Hours with Jesus” scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 28, has been rescheduled to 5 p.m. March 6.

Pequot Lakes Library will be closed all day Wednesday because of the forecasted weather. The meeting with author William Kent Krueger is canceled.


The following Tuesday, Feb. 28 events were either postponed, rescheduled or canceled:

Brainerd girls’ basketball section quarterfinals at Buffalo postponed until Thursday.

Brainerd Boys’ basketball vs. Fergus Falls scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 28, canceled.

Pequot Lakes Boys’ basketball game vs. Esko has been postponed.

Other reschedulings included:

Brainerd High School Boys’ Hockey vs. Moorhead at Bemidji rescheduled from Wednesday to Thursday.

Brainerd High School floor hockey postponed from Wednesday to Friday.

Brainerd Community Education’s activities after 6 p.m. for Tuesday, Feb. 28 were canceled.

A Brainerd Public Library event where William Kent Krueger was scheduled to visit at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, was canceled.
