Thanks to MN Teen Challenge

We have lived in our home in northeast for some 40 years and recently we found out that there are still some great young people in this world. There were about eight young people that came to our house and shoveled our sidewalk out in no time. They said they were from Teen Challenge, so we want to thank them for what they did.

Polar Plunge

We want to thank the plungers, athletes, those who made a pledge, sponsors, and volunteers who made the 2012 Brainerd Polar Plunge for Special Olympics at Breezy Point Resort such a sucess. Three hundred seventy plungers raised $73,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics. We look forward to next year’s plunge and hope that it’s as sucessful.

Thank you to Hab and his crew for the great job of cooking the fish fry dinner. Thanks to all the workers who made everything run smoothly, and to those who donated desserts. Also a special thank you to Jerry Doucette who donated all the carpets that were sold. the proceeds from the dinner and rugs will be used for our youth activity programs. The turnout was great and the meal was delicious. Great job everyone.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
