Photo ID headed for Senate floor

ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A push to require Minnesota residents to show photo ID before they vote is on the verge of clearing one of its last major hurdles.


State senators are to take up the photo ID question in their floor session Friday afternoon, and the measure has strong support from Republicans who control the chamber. The House has already approved it.
