Genealogy bus trip

set for April 22

LITTLE FALLS — The Morrison County Genealogy Society is sponsoring a bus trip down to the Minnesota Genealogical Society in St. Paul on April 22. The cost for the event, which includes a coach bus ride, is $30. It will leave Little Falls at 7:45 a.m. and pick up riders in Royalton, Rice, and St. Cloud and return by 6 p.m.

The Minnesota Genealogical Society (MGS) is the largest and most comprehensive family history research organization in Minnesota. They offer a 30,000 volume library with North American and European genealogy books, maps and microfiche/microfilms.

On April 22 the MGS will be staffed with volunteers from various ethnic groups to help our bus group with specific genealogy questions about the places where our ancestors came from and where they were going to. These experienced genealogists will also be able to help you with any particular genealogy problems that you might be having. There will also be a 1940 census workshop available for those people interested in the genealogy information available in it.

This bus trip is an excellent opportunity for you to solve some of the difficulties you’ve specifically encountered in your ongoing research about your family history.

Any questions? Contact Pat Quinn at (320)632-3360 or Anne Brenny at (320) 360-5447 by April 15. Additional information and a registration form can be found online. Google “MCGS web page” and download the pdf.
