Jury trial set for man in armed robbery case

WADENA — The 24-year-old man, charged with first-degree aggravated robbery that took place Jan. 25 at the Staples Self Serve Station, appeared Monday in Wadena County District Court.

The judge set a jury trial for Joshua James McKenna, who has no permanent address, for April 18-19, with a jury roll call date set April 10.

McKenna allegedly entered Staples Self Serve brandishing a handgun and demanding money. He did not discharge the handgun and no one was hurt. McKenna alledgedly took an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing from the store.
