Two injured in three-vehicle crash

A 55-year-old Crosby man was in critical condition Tuesday after being involved in a three-vehicle crash at the four-way stop sign intersection of Laurel Street and Southwest Fourth Street in Brainerd. A 22-year-old Baxter woman also was injured, reported the Brainerd Police Department.

The crash was reported at 9:33 a.m.

Timothy Wiswell, one of the drivers, was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center. He then was transferred to St. Cloud Hospital, where he was in critical condition. The second driver, Dawn Kapsner, drove herself to the Brainerd hospital where she was treated and then released. The third driver, Andrew Dufner, Brainerd, was not injured.

Assisting Brainerd police was the Brainerd Fire Department and the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office.
