Five structures lost to Nimrod Jeep fire

NIMROD — Fire crews made good progress on the Nimrod Jeep fire, the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reported Wednesday.

Crews continue to work to extinguishing areas of burning peat and mopping up all remaining smoking areas within 150 feet of the fire perimeter. The DNR reported full containment of the fire was achieved Tuesday afternoon.
