Bemidji area boy improving after sailboat accident


MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — An 8-year-old boy from northern Minnesota is gradually improving after a sailboat accident that left his two younger brothers dead earlier this month.

Isaiah Risland remained Sunday at Children’s Hospital in Minneapolis. The Bemidji Pioneer ( reports his aunt wrote on the boy’s CaringBridge website that Isaiah is “still gaining consciousness occasionally and responding to voice.”
