Speak up for Kids event planned

Children’s Mental Health Week community education event

As part of Speak Up for Kids, mental health professionals across the country are offering free talks in their communities during National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, May 6-12, to share helpful information about childhood mental health disorders and issues of concern to all parents. Visit childmind.org/SpeakUpforKids for more information.

A local event, “When to worry about your child’s worries,” sponsored by Northern Pines, will be 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday at Northern Pines Office, 823 Maple St., Brainerd. The presentation will be by psychiatrist Diana Chapa.

For questions or to RSVP contact Holly Biggins, Northern Pines Mental Health Center, at (218) 820-5327 or hbiggins@npmh.org. Registration is not necessary, but RSVPs are appreciated.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
