One hurt in 2-vehicle crash

A 45-year-old Missouri woman was injured after being involved in a two-vehicle crash reported at 6:17 p.m. Wednesday on State Highway 18, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.

Lola Beckwith of Doniphan, Mo., was taken to Essential Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where she was treated and released. Bethwith’s passenger Kevin Kyker, 48, Sweetwater, Tenn., was not injured. The driver of the second vehicle, Abby M. Nelson, 19, Aitkin, and her passenger, Kaila Schaaf, 18, Aitkin, were not injured.

It was reported that the vehicle driven by Beckwith was making a left turn off Highway 18, when the vehicle driven by Nelson was passing Beckwith, and then striking Bethwith’s vehicle.

The Brainerd Fire Department, North Memorial Ambulance and Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the crash.
