Sleep like a baby event planned

STAPLES — Seventy percent of women suffer from some type of sleeping disorder. In fact, women are two times more likely to suffer from a sleeping disorder than men. For this reason, Lakewood Health System’s Respiratory Therapy department, along with the Women’s Health team, will host a women’s sleep event at 5:30 p.m. June 12 in the lower level classrooms at Lakewood’s Senior Campus (401 Prairie Ave. NE, Staples).

The program will include a presentation by Kelly Thompson, NP-C, a panel of experts including a sleep specialist and a sleep study patient, complimentary refreshments, door prizes and an optional tour of the remodeled sleep lab.

The event is free, but space is limited, so reserve your spot online at or by calling (218) 894-8586.
