Kyle’s benefit was a great success thanks to so many people. It was truly wonderful to see so many friendly faces.

We would like to thank the local merchants, our friends and family for their generosity, kindness and support. A special thank you to Myrna Dunnuck, Glenda Swenson and Jeanyne Alderson, the Pequot American Legion and their staff, and all who worked so hard to make the day so special.

We are blessed to live in such a thoughtful and generous community.

Kyle Tulenchik and family

The Lakes Area Senior Activity Center board, staff and volunteers would like to thank all of you who purchased plants at our annual plant sale. We sincerely appreciate your support. Many community groups including group home staff and young men, students, advisors, and parents and business groups volunteered for us over the past few months, thank you. Donations from individuals of pots, boxes, and canopies assisted in reducing our costs.

Thank you also to ISD No. 181 for allowing us to rent the greenhouse at the Community Ag Center. This collaboration between our two organizations has been a positive venture for both of us. Thank you for thinking outside the box and allowing us to challenge, learn and grow with this project.

Thank you to all of the Center’s volunteers. You truly did above and beyond; the plants were beautiful and many in the community will reap the benefits with produce, flowers and herbs. The ripple effect reaches beyond just a plant sale.

It is said that many sets of hands, make for light work, especially true when it is community driven. Thank you all, we could not have done it without you.

I would like to thank the Nisswa American Legion Post 627 for hosting a deeply moving Memorial Day service.

It was the perfect way to show respect for all our country’s men and women who serve in the armed forces and to honor our fallen soldiers who, throughout our nation’s history, have so selflessly made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

Jim Starkey did a wonderful job as emcee of the event, Brad Wallace’s rendition of the Star Spangled Banner was amazing, and the keynote speaker, Congressman (Ret. Navy Capt.) Chip Cravaack gave an outstanding speech!

I was moved to tears seeing so many of our veterans gathered together for this event which made me more proud than ever to be an American. Thank you to all who served to defend and secure our freedom.
