Ziegler spaghetti dinner/silent auction benefit planned

Spaghetti dinner/silent auction benefit planned for Ziegler family

There will be a benefit for the James and Sheena (Meyer) Ziegler family at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Eagles Club in Brainerd.

In late October, Sheena and James found out their family of three would be growing with the addition of identical twin boys, Landon and Lucas. Unfortunately, one of the boys has a condition called Vasa Previa, which has a high mortality rate. Because of this, Sheena was hospitalized at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Ultrasounds confirmed that Landon’s right upper extremities end abruptly at the wrist. This means there is no right hand with the possibility of complications on the left. At this point there is no way to tell of any other complications that may arise for Landon or Lucas.

To help the family with current and unlimited future expenses, this benefit is planned. The dinner will begin at 6 p.m.

Items listed for the silent auction include Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza tickets; Show and Go passes at BIR, two-night stay at The Lodge in Brainerd; one night whirlpool suite at Crossings Inn & Suites, Brainerd; restaurant gift certificates; and a gift certificate to Lakes Fun Rentals on Gull.
