Faith in Action and Let’s Go Fishing promote boat trips

HACKENSACK — Faith in Action for Cass County has teamed up with Let’s Go Fishing to provide opportunities for folks to go on boat rides and to go fishing this summer on Birch Lake in Hackensack.  The Let’s Go Fishing pontoon is handicapped accessible and provides chairs, life preservers and a shaded awning. For fishing excursions, the tackle and the bait are provided. Let’s Go Fishing volunteers pilot the boat and help folks enjoy the trip. The Let’s Go Fishing mission is to enrich the lives of seniors and youth, through fishing and boating activities. There is no fee for any of the boat trips.

Faith in Action boat rides on Birch Lake are planned from 3-5 p.m. June 27 and July 18; from 1-3 p.m. Sept. 12; and a fishing trip from 4-6 p.m. Aug. 15.

Reservations are required as a limited number of people can go on each trip. Priority will be given to Faith in Action volunteers and the people they serve, as well as former volunteers and friends of Faith in Action.
