Resorters assure customers that lakes area not hurt by flooding

Brainerd chamber and resort officials, on the eve of summer’s biggest holiday, expressed concern some potential customers might be scared away by reports of flooding and high water in northeastern Minnesota.

“It hasn’t affected us at all,” Tom Kavanaugh, co-owner of Kavanaugh’s Resort on Sylvan Lake, said of the recent wet weather. “Everything is business as usual.”
