Bay Lake History Day to be celebrated

DEERWOOD — The first Bay Lake History Day will be held Aug. 4 to celebrate the Stone House Centennial and highlight historic sites within the Bay Lake area.

The event starts at 10 a.m. at what is known as the Stone or Rock House with a short program highlighting the events. The home will be open to the public until 3 p.m. with featured exhibits by Bay Lake’s pioneer descendants and the Cuyuna Range Historical Society. The home is located at 18112 State Highway 6, four miles south of Deerwood or half mile north of Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge.

Tours will take place from 1-4 p.m. and there will be a meet and greet at Ruttger’s from 4:30-6 p.m.
