Firefighters respond to calls

Firefighters respond to calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls since Thursday.

Firefighters responded to a call at 3:25 p.m. Thursday to an oven fire at 8011 Greenwood Lane in Baxter. At 6:06 a.m. Friday, firefighters responded to a call at Garfield Elementary School to a general fire alarm. It was reported that the alarm went off because of burned popcorn.

There were no calls Saturday.

At 9:53 a.m. Sunday, there was a call of another oven fire at 15741 Patterson Road, north of Baxter. At 12:17 p.m. Sunday, firefighters assisted with a personal injury crash on Highway 317 and Gull Dam Road; and then to a car fire at 2:09 p.m. at 7324 Novotny Road.

At 4:32 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to a call at 511 D Street to a bad detector.
