CLC to host 8th District DFLers in debate
Debate Minnesota will host a 90-minute debate for DFL Candidates from the 8th Congressional District, Jeff Anderson, Tarryl Clark and Rick Nolan, at 7 p.m. Monday at Central Lakes College, 501 West College Dr., Brainerd. The debate will be moderated by Lisa Paxton, CEO of the Brainerd Lakes Chamber.
The Debate Minnesota Mission is to promote civility in the political process; to provide a platform for a fair, informative and in-depth discussion of ideas; to encourage public participation in the election process and to help restore public confidence in government by raising the level of political discourse.
Since 2004, Debate Minnesota has hosted nearly 50 debates in communities across the state including debates for the U.S. Senate, Minnesota congressional districts, governors office and many Minnesota legislative district races.

David Durenberger; former Minnesota Secretary of State Joan Anderson Growe; former Senate Majority Leader Roger D. Moe; former state senators Roy Terwilliger, Sheila Kiscaden, Don Betzold and Myron Orfield; former Speaker Bob Vanasek; former state representatives Randy Demmer and Barb Sykora; former Commissioner Alice Seagren; former gubernatorial candidate Tom Horner; former MPR host Gary Eichten; MnSCU board member Brett Anderson; and Debate Minnesota founder Will Haddeland.
