Brainerd man injured on motorcycle

Emily man in fair condition after Friday’s ATV crash

CROSSLAKE — A 49-year-old Emily man — who was injured Friday when the all-terrain vehicle (ATV) he was riding flipped over and pinned him to the ground — was in fair condition Monday at St. Cloud Hospital.

Shawn Groat was airlifted to St. Cloud Hospital after the incident was reported at 11:15 a.m. off County Highway 3 in Crosslake at Lakes Area Rental, where Groat is employed as a mechanic.

Brainerd man injured on motorcycle

A 46-year-old Brainerd man was injured Sunday when the motorcycle he was driving crashed at the intersection of Washington and Kingwood streets, reported the Brainerd Police Department.

William J. Trombley was taken to Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where he was treated and released.

It was reported that Trombley was cited for a no motorcycle endorsement.

The crash was reported at 9:01 a.m.
