Brainerd School Foundation announces Warrior Fest on Sept. 15

Warrior Fest, a 21-plus event highlighting Brainerd area music and food, will be conducted from 2 to 10 p.m. Sept. 15, the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation announced Monday. The event will be at Mills Field in Brainerd.

Showcasing local talent and food, the event will include live music by bands including Captain May I, Seth Doud, King’s Ransom, DB3; a beer garden, bean bag tournament with cash prizes, caricature art, Warrior apparel, T-shirts; food vendors including Prairie Bay, Curly Cones, Domino’s, kettle corn, tacos, pulled pork sandwiches, and more.

A large door prize will be given away before the last band plays and includes gift certificates from many local businesses, Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza tickets, $500 toward a Brothers Motorsports rental, Cashwise donations, In-Fisherman items and a large cooler.

Tickets are $15 per person in advance or $20 at the door. Tickets are available now at CashWise, Brainerd or Baxter, North Country Floral and Blue Ox.

The Warrior Fest is being planned, organized, and run by Brainerd High School alumni from 1980-1999. The event slogan is, “Once a warrior, always a warrior.”

All proceeds benefit BPSF and will be used in the 4A grant program to ISD 181 (Academics, Activities, Arts and Athletics).

The mission of the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation is to support the students and teachers of ISD 181, by connecting alumni and our community. The foundation assists in enhancing learning opportunities in the areas of academics, activities, the arts, and athletics through sustainable scholarships and grants.
