Firefighters respond

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to two calls Monday and two on Sunday.

On Monday, firefighters responded to a call at 3:12 p.m. to Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd to what was reported as a bad detector. Earlier Monday at 11:26 a.m., firefighters were called to check out a gas smell on 20859 Donaldson Road.

On Sunday, firefighters were called at 6:59 p.m. to Crow Wing Power, 7330 Highway 371 N., to what turned out to be a false alarm. At 8:47 p.m., firefighters were called to 139 Bell Rae Circle to check out a possible illegal recreation fire.
