Firefighters respond to multiple calls

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to several calls during the Labor Day weekend.

On Friday: Firefighters were called at 12:48 a.m. to a fire alarm at Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center; at 4:44 p.m. to a grass fire in the ditch at the intersection of Lawson and Legend Roads, south on Highway 371; at 7:53 p.m. to a brush fire along Crow Wing County Road 23, which ended up being a permitted burn; and at 10:02 p.m. to a detector malfunction at Bonanza.

On Saturday: Firefighters responded to a burning complaint at 2:32 p.m. on 10th Street and Kingwood Street.

On Monday: Firefighters responded to a trash bin fire at 7:26 p.m. at 524 College Drive.

On Tuesday: Firefighters responded to a call at 3:43 a.m. to 14928 Oakwood Dr., to a fire alarm, that ended up being unfounded.
