Man found lying between railroad tracks

RANDALL — A 35-year-old male with severe injuries was found Tuesday lying between the tracks of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad, north of Randall, reported Morrison County Sheriff Michel Wetzel.

Wetzel said it appears that the man, identified as Lance Lloyd Lacroix, address unknown, was run over by a train. Wetzel said whether the man was trying to get on the train, or get off of it or he fell off it has not yet been determined.

Deputies believe the man is not from the immediate area.

Lacroix was taken by Gold Cross Ambulance to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls and then to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, where he was in critical condition Tuesday afternoon.

BNSF Railroad reporting the incident at 8:11 a.m.

Assisting the sheriff’s office were the Randall Police Department and the Randall Fire and Rescue Squad.
