Habitat looking for family for new Aitkin home

AITKIN — Aitkin County Habitat for Humanity is looking for a partner family for its 2013 home to be built at 104 Fifth St. NW, Aitkin.

Partner family applications are due by Nov. 9. Families must have a low but steady income. They must be able to pay monthly mortgage, utilities, tax and insurance payments. They must have a need for adequate housing and be willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity, including working on building the home.

Two public meetings for potential applications are scheduled at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. on Oct. 22 at the Aitkin Public Library.
