Wreaths for the Fallen, CAP join forces

Wreaths group, CAP join forces

Every year the Civil Air Patrol has a drive to obtain wreaths for the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.

“We are pleased to announce this year will be different as the Brainerd Squadron of the CAP has joined forces with and is now able to offer grave-specific requests”, John Thomas, president of, said. “Cadets and senior members of the Brainerd squadron of the Civil Air Patrol will soon be knocking on doors in the Crow Wing, Aitkin, Cass, and Morrison county areas and anyone that would like a wreath specifically designated to honor a loved one at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery can do so by providing the necessary information when they are called on by the CAP member. There is no additional cost for this service”, Thomas said.

Thomas said that working together should ensure the organizations are able to honor all our country’s fallen veterans and their families at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
