Schaefer’s Foods is seeking photos that portray the beauty and unique character of the Nisswa lakes area for the 2013 calendar.

Entries must be submitted by the original photographer. Photos that have been published elsewhere are not eligible. Photos will not be returned.

There is no limit to the number of photos submitted by one person. They must be 3,000 by 2,400 pixels (300 dpi), JPG files. Photos taken on cellular devices are not eligible for the contest.

Entries must include the photographer’s name, mailing address, email address, phone number, age division (adult or youth ages 17 and younger) and a brief description of the photo, including where it was taken and the name of the lake, if applicable.

Contestants may email digital photos up to 5MB to photocontest@tds.net; submit photos digitally on a clearly labeled CD or DVD marked “photo contest;” or submit prints that are at least 8 by 10 inches along with entry information to Schaefer’s Foods.

Photos will be judged in the adult (18 and older) and youth (17 and younger) categories based on creativity, photographic quality and effectiveness in conveying the beauty and/or unique character of the Nisswa lakes area.

Winners will be notified by Nov. 15.

The calendar will be distributed at Schaefer’s Foods and the Nisswa Chamber of Commerce.
