Brainerd Fire responds

The Brainerd Fire Department responded to a call at 5:58 p.m. Thursday to 14656 Jewelwood to a possible grass fire. It was reported that it was an unattended camp fire.

Wood stove fire

IRONTON — The Ironton Fire Department responded to a wood stove fire at 8:55 a.m. Friday on 309 Sixth Street.

Ironton Fire Chief Steve Herzenach said the homeowner stored a box that had either magazines or something that was too close to the wood stove and this appeared to have started the fire.

Herzenach said there was minimal smoke damage and no one was injured.

About a dozen firefighters responded to the call.

Grass fires along 371

NISSWA — The Nisswa Fire Department responded to two grass fires Wednesday along Highway 371.

It was reported that the first fire was along the highway near Nisswa Marine and the second fire was north of Nisswa.
