Drive 4-UR School Event

Thank you, Mills Ford, for the awesome fundraiser event, Drive 4-UR School, on Saturday, Sept. 29th and your generosity of your business to help Brainerd Warrior athletics and activities.  Thank you to all the community members, parents and District 181 staff who came to Mills and test drove Ford vehicles, purchased oil changes, and participated in the car wash, hot dog sales, and bake sale. A special thank you to the entire Mills staff for their assistance throughout the entire day and the “test drive riders” for their time, too. Thank you to the students, parents, and advisers who volunteered their time to make this fundraiser successful for the students of District 181. Thank you for your generosity!

Prairie Bay event a success

The Brainerd Public Schools Foundation (BPSF) is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and would like to sincerely thank everyone involved in our 2nd Thursday at Prairie Bay on Sept. 13 from 5-7 p.m.

The food was wonderful and the commitment to and celebration of our public schools is even better. Prairie Bay, along with Cash Wise Liquor, sponsored the monthly event of 2nd Thursday including lovely, delicious appetizers and beer and wine tasting. A local musician displayed his amazing talents with live music. Thank you, Seth Doud, for your time and talent. Lastly, thank you to all who attended and showed your support. We appreciate each and every one of you.

The $15 donation per person goes directly to BPSF.  Prairie Bay and Cash Wise, thank you for your commitment to the Brainerd public schools and local non-profits. All proceeds will benefit BPSF under the 4As — academics, activities, arts and athletics.

Event photos can be seen on our facebook page. For more information about BPSF or to donate, please see

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
