Fugitive level 3 predatory offender in custody

George D. McIntosh, Jr., a level three predatory sex offender on fugitive status, has turned himself in to authorities. At approximately 4:00 a.m. this morning, McIntosh surrendered to the Le Sueur County jail where he is currently being held.

McIntosh had been released from prison on August 30, after serving time for two third-degree criminal sexual conduct convictions. He cut his ankle bracelet in Faribault on October 22.

Most level 3 predatory offenders who become fugitives are quickly taken back into custody. Department of Corrections (DOC) statistics through September 2011 show that 97 percent of fugitive level 3 offenders are apprehended within 72 hours.
