Polar explorer Steger to speak on clean energy, climate

BAXTER — Polar explorer Will Steger and Fresh Energy’s J. Drake Hamilton present, “Clean Energy, Climate, and Clean Energy,” at a free public forum at 7 p.m. Nov. 10 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Baxter.

Steger, described as Minnesota’s own eyewitness to climate change, and J. Drake Hamilton, science policy director at Fresh Energy, will present photography from Steger’s polar expeditions and lead discussion about how citizens’ voices can be heard on clean energy and clean air policies that benefit our economy.

Also speaking will be Pastor Erika Nilsen of Lord of Life Lutheran Church. The church is located at 6190 Fairview Road. More information may be obtained at The event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters of the Brainerd Lakes Area, the Will Steger Foundation and Fresh Energy.

Topics include:
