Power outage puts southeast Brainerd in the dark Friday

Southeast Brainerd residents, businesses, Brainerd High School and government buildings were in the dark Friday after a power outage.

Brainerd Public Utilities learned of the outage about 3:15 p.m. Friday. A contractor hit a cable in the neighborhood of the intersection of South Sixth and Quince streets.

Crews were out working on the issue Friday and had power restored before 5 p.m.
