Five injured in crash
BAXTER — Both drivers and three passengers were injured in a two-vehicle crash reported at 11:27 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Highway 371 and Barbeau Road, north of Baxter, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
The drivers, Doreen M. Chadwick, 52, Pequot Lakes and Nikki L. Day, 35, Brainerd, and three of Day’s passengers: Noah Day, 8, Kenneth Day, 7 and Zachary Day, 7, were taken to Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd by North Ambulance. The drivers and the children were treated and then released.
It was reported that Chadwick was driving south on Highway 371 and crossed over into the northbound lane, when her vehicle was hit by Day.
Semi-truck driver injured
BAXTER — A 24-year-old Massachusetts man was injured Saturday when the semi-truck he was driving rolled over along Highway 371 and Glory Road in Baxter, reported the Minnesota State Patrol.
Konstantin Okhrimenko, 24, West Springfield, Mass., was taken to Essentia Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd where he was treated and then released.
The crash was reported at 2:44 p.m.
