Little Falls and Wadena to compete in state one act play festival

The one-act cast from the Little Falls High School and Wadena-Deer Creek High School will perform Thursday and Friday at St. Catherine University’s O’Shaughnessy Auditorium in St. Paul during the 2013 State One Act Play Festival.

The plays are limited to no more than 35 minutes, following a maximum 10-minute stage set-up. Total cast and crew cannot exceed 20 students.

It is a festival — not a competition. However, each production will be judged and publicly critiqued immediately following each performance. Each cast will attempt to achieve an exceptional rating known as a “starred performance.”

Little Falls will perform “Inter CONTROLency” in Class AA on Thursday and Wadena will perform “The Humorist of Forest Leaves – An Original Production” in Class A Friday.

Order of performance in Class AA will be Eastview High School in Apple Valley, Little Falls, Park High School in Cottage Grove, Minnetonka, Cambridge-Isanti, Coon Rapids, Fridley and New Prague.

Order of performance in Cass A will be Fillmore Central High School in Harmony, Win-E-Mac in Erskine, Mountain Lake High School, Wadena, Sauk Centre, St. Paul Academy and Summit School and Belle Plaine High School.
