Woman injured in snowmobile crash

CROSSLAKE — A 46-year-old Farmington woman was injured in a snowmobile crash reported at 3:12 p.m. Saturday in Crosslake, reported the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department.

Wendy Mae Rowe was transported by North Memorial Ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd. The hospital had no information available on Rowe’s condition Tuesday.

It was reported that Rowe was traveling on Whitefish Lake approximately a quarter-mile southwest of Moonlight Bay in Crosslake. Rowe observed warning signs to alert others of an area established for use for radar runs. In avoiding this area, the snowmobile rolled over and she was injured.

The Crosslake Fire Department assisted at the scene and transported Rowe to shore and then she was transported by North Ambulance to the hospital.

The Crosslake Police Department also responded to the crash.
