This free afternoon includes activities and knowledge sharing on ways women can care for themselves and their loved ones.

Community cancer experts, Dr. Laura Joque and Patient Navigator Missy Laposky will share the latest clinical information and dialog with a breast cancer survivor, Kathy Buxton, and her husband, Bruce Buxton. Topics include how to support a loved one who is battling cancer.

There will be three short breakout activities to choose from including:

■ Learn massage techniques from Deb Endres.

■ Put your creativity to work making a card that may be sent to a woman who could use a thanks or words of encouragement.

■ See how to make accessories work. Professional stylists from Herberger’s will provide instruction on the many ways to style an outfit using timeless accessories like scarfs.

■ Have nails painted in one of many shades of pink available and take home the bottle.

■ Make sense of the many nutrition choices, with instruction from Amiee Jambor.

■ The final session is designed to “bring everyone together for a humorous and real look at what is taking place during menopause.” Lori Gutierrez, obstetrics and gynecology and psychiatry nurse practitioner, will empower women with knowledge about this subject.

The event includes desserts and chocolate.
