Bridges Career Exploration Day will be March 8. An annual event established in 2008, of the Bridges Career Academies and Workplace Connection, the event showcases careers and career training programs through a fun environment with hands-on activities. It is Minnesota’s largest hands-on career exploration event.

Nearly 2,500 students from more than 20 school districts are expected to interact with more than 100 local business and 50 career and technical college professionals to explore more than 150 career options.

The event is from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. March 8 at Central Lakes College in Brainerd.

A presentation is available to the media and invited guests at 10 a.m. in the Chalberg Theatre. Guided tours are available at 10:30 a.m. Invited guests are asked to RSVP so tour guides may be arranged accordingly.

I've worked at the Brainerd Dispatch with various duties since Dec. 7, 1983. Starting off as an Ad Designer and currently Director of Audience Development. The Dispatch has been an interesting and challenging place to work. I'm fortunate to have made many friends, both co-workers and customers.
