Unseeded Warriors to play No. 1 Apple Valley

The unseeded Brainerd Warriors will play top-seeded Apple Valley in the quarterfinals of the Class 4A state tournament at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Brainerd brings a 28-1 record into the game while Apple Valley is 21-8 and led by 5-star recruit Tyus Jones.

Other quarterfinal games, all at the Target Center, are No. 4 Woodbury (25-4) vs. No. 5 Eden Prairie at noon, No. 2 Park Center (26-3) vs. unseeded Lakeville North (23-6) at 2 p.m., and No. 3 Edina (22-7) vs. unseeded Andover (10-19) at 4 p.m.

Semifinals are at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. March 21 at the Target Center.

Third-place game is at 4 p.m. March 23 at Concordia University in St. Paul.

Championship game is at 8 p.m. March 23 at the Target Center.
